Karen Galway is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, Infant Feeding Therapist, Certified Orofacial Myologist (COM), Wife, and Mother of Two.
āØāØKaren brings over 20 years of experience as a speech therapist, most of it in private practice. For 12 of those years, she has owned two solo practices. After successfully running her first practice for 10 years, she launched a new practice nearly a year ago, navigating two very different business models along the way.
Karen closed the doors to her decade long business in June of 2024 prior to an out of state move. With the stress and burn out that comes with being a therapist and running a private practice, she welcomed a nearly year long sabbatical without any intention of returning to the field.
But in January of 2025, she began entertaining the idea of returning in a way that would feel sustainable.
She opened up her new practice in May of 2025. Within the first 8 months, her practice grew 450%. Everything about this next iteration has been very intentional to minimize burnout.
You can create a solo practice that is profitable and enjoyable and this guide is the first step to getting there.
